1. By and by the little round bun met a fox. “Stop, little round bun”, said the fox. “I'm going to eat you up.”
2. “Don’t do that”, said the bun. “I'm going to sing you a little song”, and he sang the song.
3. The fox said, “Oh, what a pretty little song ! Only I'm afraiddon’t hear well. Do hop on to my nose pretty bun and sing the song again, please.”
4. The little round bun jumped onto the tip of the fox’s nose and sang the song again.“Thank you, little, pretty, round Bun”, said the fox.
5.“It'song indeed. ! Do hop onto my tongue and sing it once again for the last time.”
6. Little round bun jumped onto the fox’s tongue, and.......... SNAP ! The fox swallowed it up and it was the last ! No one saw the little round bun ever after.
1.ଏହାପରେ ଛୋଟ ଗୋଲ ବନ୍ଟି ଏକ କୋକିଶିଆଳିକୁ ଭେଟିଲା । “ ରହ, ଛୋଟ ଗୋଲ ବନ୍” ,କୋକିଶିଆଳି କହିଲା, ' ମୁଁ ତୋତେ ଖାଇବି ।”
2. “ ତାହା କର ନାହିଁ”, କହିଲା ବନ୍ । “ମୁଁ ତୋ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ଗୀତ ଗାଇବାକୁ ଯାଉଛି”, ଏହା କହି ବନ୍ ଗାଇଲା ।
3.କୋକିଶିଆଳି କହିଲା, “ଓଃ, ଛୋଟ ଗୀତଟି କି ସୁନ୍ଦର! ମୁଁ ଭଲ ଭାବରେ ଶୁଣି ପାରିଲି ନାହିଁ । ହେ ସୁନ୍ଦର ବନ୍,ଦୟାକରି ମୋ ନାକ ଉପରେ ଡେଇଁ ଏହି ଗୀତଟି ଟିକେ ଆଉ ଥରେ ଗାଇଦେ ।”
4. ଛୋଟ ଗୋଲ ବନ୍ଟି କୋକିଶିଆଳିର ନାକ ଉପରେ ଡେଇଁପଡ଼ି ପୁଣି ଥରେ ଗୀତଟି ଗାଇଲା ।
“ ତୁମକୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ, ଛୋଟ, ସୁନ୍ଦର, ଗୋଲ ବନ୍” କୋକି ଶିଆଳି କହିଲା ।
5.“ବାସ୍ତବିକ୍, ଏହା ଏକ ବହୁତ ସୁନ୍ଦର ଗୀତ । ଟିକେ ମୋ ଜିଭ ଉପରେ ଡେଇଁପଡ଼ି ଶେଷଥର ପାଇଁ ଏହି ଗୀତଟି ମୋ ପାଇଁ ଗାଇଦେ” ।
6.ବନ୍ଟି କୋକିଶିଆଳିର ଜିଭ ଉପରେ ଡେଇଁପଡ଼ିଲା, ଆଉ .... ଖପ ! କୋକିଶିଆଳିଟି ତାକୁ ଗିଳି ପକେଇଲା ଓ ଏହା ଶେଷ ଥଲା । ତାହାପରେ ସେ ଛୋଟ ଗୋଲ ବନ୍କୁ କେହି ଦେଖନାହାନ୍ତି ।

1. Whom did the bun meet finally ?

Ans. The bun finally meta fox.
2. The bun sang the song to the fox. But the fox said that he could not hear well Is it true ?
(ବନ୍ଟି କୋକିଶିଆଳି ପାଇଁ ଗୀତଟିଏ ଗାଇଲା । କିନ୍ତୁ କୋକିଶିଆଳି କହିଲା ଯେ ସେ ଭଲ କରି ଶୁଣି ପାରିଲାନି | କ'ଣ ଏହା ସତ ହ ନା ସେ ମିଛ କହୁଥୁଲା ?)
Ans. No, it is not true. The fox was telling a lie.
3. The fox told a lie. Why ?
( କୋକିଶିଆଳିଟି ମିଛ କହିଲା | କାହିଁକି ?)
Ans. The fox told a lie to fool the bun and eat it up.
4. Did the bun know that the fox told a lie ? Say, why ?
( କୋକିଶିଆଳିଟି ମିଛ କହୁଛି ବୋଲି ବନ୍ ଜାଣି ପାରିଲା କି ? କୁହ, କାହିଁକି ?)
Ans. The bun never knew that the fox told a lie. Because when the fox told that
he couldn’t hear the song well and asked the bun to hop on his nose and sing the |
again, the bun did so, believing the fox.
5. Why did the fox Say, “Sing it once again for the last time.”
( କୋକିଶିଆଳିଟି କାହିଁକି କହିଲା, ‹ ଶେଷଥର ଏହାକୁ ଆଉଥରେ ଗାଇଦେ”” ?)
Ans. The fox said this because he was going to eat the bun.
6. What does ‘SNAP’ mean ? Why ist all in capitals ?
( SNAP’ ମାନେ କ”ଣ ? କ୍ୟାପିଟାଲ ଅକ୍ଷରରେ ଏହା କାହିଁକି ଲେଖାଯାଇଛି ?) ।
Ans. ‘SNAP’ means to make a sudden audible bite. It is all in Capitals so as to
emphasize the word and to show (tell) us how quickly the fox ate the bun.

Ans:- Fox told lie because he wanted the bun to come at his mouth so that he can eat the bun.

Ans:- The bun first met wit the rabbit, then wolf, then bear and at last he met with the fox.
(iii) Who is the cleverest of all?

Ans:- The Fox is the cleverest of all.

Ans. The fox is the cleverest of all. (as he could fool the bun and eat it up.)
