But Gobinda was not at all convinced by his son’s view.

The artisans are not properly paid for it. So they are discouraged. They are not taking interest to continue this art. Secondly, the demand for the idols is decreasing at an unexpected rate. Thirdly the encouragement of the government for the restoration of the art is not satisfactory. These are the reasons for the near extinction of this art.
